Bumblebee Lifepod - Halo Miniature Fan Project

Fan-made Miniature based on the Halo Franchise. Project to model a Bumblebee Lifepod for the out of production game Halo: Ground Command. This miniature was created from scratch and modeled to a high standard that aimed to be a close match to the official miniatures in terms to detail and proportions. The final design blends elements of in-game screenshots and artwork from Halo: Combat Evolved.

Hastily sculpted amidst my other responsibilities to use for the Halo: Ground Command event at the Adepticon 2024 wargaming convention, the model was made primarily as a two-part clamshell design, for cleaner 3D printing, and easier painting. As a side-effect of how the seats are shaped, the seats need to be glued to the top half FIRST, THEN the top half glued to the bottom half, or else the two halves won't connect. An odd quirk that I felt wasn't unacceptable with my limited time to get it finished and ready for printing, as there were only around three weeks left before the convention.

These renders and prints only show it in a "crashed" look, but I did set up pieces for the airbrakes, and a living pilot piece to represent the model mid-flight.
