Fan-made Miniature based on the Halo Franchise. Project to model a squad of Elites for the out of production game Halo: Ground Command. The models were created from scratch, and were modeled to a high standard that aimed to be a close match to the official miniatures in terms to detail and proportions. The finished design blends the base Elite design and proportions of Halo 2 Anniversary, with the Spec Ops Armor from Halo: Reach, as well as additional options based on Halo 3 references and concept art.
A total of sixteen different Elite models in different poses, this was another foray into multi-part characters. My workflow for this project was to make a pose using the rigged master file with this new armor, then set up STL files for both single-part 1:100th scale figures, as well as multi-part 1:54th scale figures, which was a much more time-consuming process.
For the multi-part version of the designs, all of the arms and head bits are compatible with all of the bodies, allowing for a LOT of modularity and creativity. I'll be using what I've learned on this project for a lot of models in the future, I'm sure!
Commissioned by another Halo fan, this set of models were completed March 2023.
